Therapeutic Approach.
I offer an integrative therapeutic approach that is guided by attachment-based, trauma-informed and psychodynamic frameworks, often focusing on resolving unconscious conflicts, relational patterns, and past influences. I integrate these approaches with skills-based, emotional, behavioral, and somatic techniques to address symptoms affecting your daily life and tailored to each individual's needs.

Currently, I am training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and beginning to incorporate it this approach for anxiety and trauma-based conditions as needed.

My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative, with a focus on creating a trusting space where both the light and challenging aspects of yourself can be explored for meaningful change.

Initial Therapy Sessions.
The first three sessions serve as an 'assessment phase', where I gather key information about your concerns, goals, history, relationships, and overall quality of life. By the end of session three (or sometimes four for longer term therapy), I will share my initial thoughts and work with you to create a therapy roadmap.

This phase also allows us to assess whether our working relationship is a good fit, as my therapeutic style may not suit everyone. Finding the right therapist for you is essential.
Timeframes.
Short-term Therapy:
I offer short-term interventions (6-10 sessions) that target a specific area of concern and can be tailored to the 10 sessions subsidised by Medicare per calendar year.
Long-term Therapy:
I offer long-term therapy for deeper or more complex, and longstanding issues. Long-term therapy may often require weekly or fortnightly therapy sessions and for a greater period than 12 months.
